XFG Drift Shots

Just tweaked XFG in LFS. Now it is RWD converted and has about 300 horses

review: Since it's an hatchback. It's hard to tame the XFG. Especially if it's a RWD converted. Despite being hard to control, it has bigger traction than XRG so i can perform drift more easy in Blackwood's last corner (the uphill one). The big traction also makes this car hard to control, so be careful.

Blog Fanfic: Drift Racing Academy

I'm planning to post my fanfic in this blog. This is new fanfic about drifting, but i want to focus on how beginner learn drifting in drift school, not only about street racing and drifting. That's why i decide to put a title to this fanfic,Drift Racing Academy. This story is focusing on my new character,Seta Nakamura, who learn about drifting in his new school.

Story:
Seta Nakamura is a street drifter in Yokohama. Unfortunately, police caught him street racing in Yokohama bay. So the police suspend his S13 and the license. Fortunately, a detective who saw his drift actions told the police not to suspend Seta's driving license. Seta suggested by the detective to enter a drift school which located in East Japan. Seta Nakamura succesfully entered the school by showing his drift skills on Touge. The journey to the victory, has begun.

Seta Nakamura (Main character,of course)
Akira Tainaka (Seta's friend)
Ryuji Kosuke  (Seta's friend)

So..Ridge Racer Has Been Killed?

So,RR Unbounded features Burnout-ish gameplay where you can destroy other cars or building. But does it mean Namco kills Ridge Racer?

LFS Skin: Itasha Stickerbomb

Remember my posts about Itasha on August? Like i said, i am an anime lover and want some anime tastes on my drift car. And now the dream comes true.

But i want my itasha different from other itashas i have ever seen. So i decide to make a combination between sticker bomb and itasha concept. I got this concept when i saw Dragon Performance's rusty itasha FD.

If you are wondering the girl on my XRG hood. Her name is Nagi Sanzenin from Hayate the Combat Butler.

LFS Skin: Auto Modellista XRG

After a long holiday i spend in Bali. I try to make some LFS skins. This is my 1st skin inspired by Ridge Racer's RT Nebulasray car.

 

After that skin, i got inspiration from Auto Modellista (you know, a racing game from Capcom (the maker of Street Fighter series). I played that game everyday in my childhood. I admit it that game is as exciting as ridge racer. Especially the tunes which is very upbeat. I'm looking for it's binary so i can play it on my PCSX2.

I add the black mask on the back. It's cooler i think, even not 100 % same.

More LFS skins coming soon! Gotta work hard for my next project! 

Itasha Drift Car

Beside drift fan, i am also an anime fans. I remember when i was a kid, i always watched my favorite anime on Animax. My favorite animes are Initial D,Wangan Midnight, Magikano,Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann,Air Gear,and Hayate the Combat Butler

But hey, this is not an anime blog. This is a car blog XD~~~

So what it's the relation between anime and car. Well, a car with anime decals, isn't it cool? I'm talking about Itasha right now.

What is Itasha, this words derived from 2 japanese words, Itai  (means pain or hurts) and Jidoosha (means car). So Itasha can be translated as painful car (CMIIW). Itasha usually sports very catchy anime decals that makes the car looks "painful".

Finally i got LFS today and start to learn how to drift in LFS.

Unfortunately my LFS version is a demo. So i must download keygen to turn my demo version into full version. Maybe after i take the final exam.

FT-86 appears in the upgrade version of Initial D 6 AA! YEY!

Just bought this car and here it is the screenshots of it ^^

 

Actually, the FT-86 is heavy. It's not as easier as my NSX to turn in Irohazaka. Maybe this car is only a fun car to me. But i will try different settings on my FT-86. Gonna try picky settings.

Initial D Takumi's Eight-Six in Video Games

Well Initial D has influence automotive lifestyle. Many replicas of Initial D cars such as Takumi's 86 or Keisuke's FD3S. And if you play some racing games, you'll see a replica of Takumi's 86! Let's see them.

Gran Turismo Series (3-5)

In Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec until Gran Turismo 5 (except in GT4 Prologue and GT5 Prologue) there is a tuned car based on AE86 Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex called Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex Shuichi Shigeno Version. The name of the car taken from the creator of Initial D,Shuichi Shigeno. The call resembles Takumi's 86. Only minus the fujiwara tofu shop sticker and the fog lights. The performance is unknown. In GT4, you can found this car in late 90s used car shop.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift (Kaido Battle)
There is a rival who modeled after Takumi Fujiwara named Lightning Shift. His real name is Takuya Hagiwara and appears as a trickster (type of the rivals in TXRD) in Hakone. Instead of delivering tofu, Takuya delivering milk to hotel. In TXRD2, you can drive his car if you befriend him (his car is labelled as special car that isn't sold in neither new car shop or used car shop)

An unlockable car called Ramen Delivery AE86 was modeled after Takumi's 86. Now imagine, you drift while you delivering a noodle in the mountain. Challenging, isn't it?

Battle Gear 3

In BG3 there is a bunch of Initial D character's replica. Takumi's 86 was called Sprinter Trueno Mecha Tuned in the game. Also if you battle with the AE86 mecha tuned in Battle Gear 3 the name of the driver is TKMI (if i'm not mistaken) which stands for Takumi. The 86 was similar to Sprinter Trueno SS version in Gran Turismo but with the fog lights. This car is also appears in Battle Gear 2.

Cool Resident Evil 2 Ad

Ah Resident Evil, that is the best horror action game right now. I remember i was playing it with my syster. The last series that i played is Resident Evil Outbreak.

Speaking about Resident Evil (or Biohazard in japan) here it is, some cool commercial of RE2 in Japan. It was directed by George.A.Romero who was also directing one of the popular zombie movies, Night of The Living Dead!

Ridge Racer Unbounded? Uughh

Remember Ridge Racer ?, The Namco's arcade racer? To be honest, Ridge Racer is one of my favorite drift games. I have played Ridge Racer Type 4, Ridge Racer V arcade battle, and Ridge Racer Revolution. Very good game i have to said.

But what if Namco ruins the Ridge Racer, or i can say, killed Ridge Racer. Namco cooperate with Bugbear games (Flatout maker) will launch the brand-new Ridge Racer games, Ridge Racer Unbounded in 2012. Namco has totally KILLED Ridge Racer! Why? Because it has some elements from Burnout or Flatout which you must crush and destroy your rival's car. Come on, Ridge Racer IS NOT BURNOUT,SPLIT-SECOND,OR FLATOUT.

NAMCO! Why you did this? Please, don't kill the ridge racer. I want ridge racer as a clean arcade racing game. No damageable cars,no destructions,no explosions. Please Namco.

Why i Love Drift Games?

Everybody loves racing games,right? From simulator racing games such as Gran Turismo,Forza,or rFactor to arcade racing games such as Ridge Racer and Daytona USA.

I love racing games. As i said before, i love cars and  the racing games which can give me an experience driving the car as fast as i can. Many racing games now has a drift mode that able you to show your drifting skills such as Gran Turismo 5 and the brand-new Shift 2 Unleashed. You can throw your car and control it and score points as much as you can. Tune your car to be the drift devil and drift it.

If you ask me, what racing games that i prefer? OF COURSE, DRIFT GAMES IS MY CHOICE. Whether it is racing simulation or arcade games that has the drifty gameplay (such as Ridge Racer) because:


1.Adrenaline raising: I think drifting is more adrenaline raising than other types of racing. You handle your car while it's out of control. You will feel your adrenaline raised when you try to control the car.

2.Gives you more satisfaction: In drift mode, your purpose is only to score points as much as you can. Depends on the angles,speed,and length of drifting. I feel that drifting gives me more satisfaction than other types of racing. I felt very happy when i scored 27.000.000 points in GRID rather than tackle the corners.


That's my opinion about drift games, you can accept it or not.

2009-Start drifting again by playing Battle Gear 4 tuned in my local arcade centre.

2010-Drift in TXRD2 and Gran Turismo 4.

2011-Focus on drifting in Enthusia. After that, moving to GRID and SHIFT 2 Unleashed until now.
